UPSSSC PET 2025 Exam Date: Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced the exam date of PET 2025. This time, more than 25.32 lakh candidates have applied, due to which the number of examination centers has also been increased. This time, the government has also recognized the schools recognized by the CBSE and ICSE boards as examination centers. This decision has been taken given the large number of candidates.


The exam will be held in two shifts on 6th and 7th September
The PET exam will be conducted in two shifts on 6th and 7th September 2025. The first shift will be from 10 am to 12 noon, and the second shift will be from 3 pm to 5 pm.


Now, the PET score will be valid for 3 years.
Now, the score of the candidates appearing in the PET will be valid for 3 years. That is, once the PET exam is passed, the candidates will be eligible to apply for various recruitment examinations at the Group-C level for the next three years. Earlier, this validity was only for one year.


Why is PET 2025 necessary?


UPSSSC has made it clear that it is mandatory to appear in the PET 2025 for all Group 'C' recruitments. Candidates will be shortlisted for further examinations, like the main exam or skill test, only based on the PET score.

Passing the PET exam is a mandatory condition for applying to all these Group 'C' posts. One cannot apply for these posts without qualifying for the PET.


UP PET 2025: Exam Pattern


A total of 100 questions will be asked in the Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test, which will be of an objective type (MCQ). The exam will be of a total of 100 marks, and candidates will get 2 hours to solve the paper. There is also a provision of negative marking in this exam, in which 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Questions will be asked from subjects like General Knowledge, Mathematics, Current Affairs, Reasoning, Hindi, and English in the question paper.

The syllabus of PET 2025 exam is comprehensive and includes various subjects. In this exam of a total 100 marks, questions of fixed marks will be asked from each subject. Questions of 5-5 marks will be asked from subjects like Indian History, Indian National Movement, Geography, Indian Economy, Indian Constitution and Public Administration, General Science, Elementary Arithmetic, General Hindi, General English, Logic and Reasoning. Apart from this, there will be questions of 10 marks each from Current Affairs and General Awareness. Questions of 10 marks each will also be included from sections like Hindi unread passage, interpretation of a graph and interpretation of table.
