According to IMD, a yellow alert has been issued in 8 districts of Haryana on August 4 (IMD Haryana alert). These include Yamunanagar, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Gurugram, Nuh, Faridabad and Palwal.
Orange alert on 5th August, relief expected from 6th
On August 5, IMD has issued an orange alert (Haryana rain alert) in Yamunanagar, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Faridabad and Palwal. This means that there is a high possibility of heavy rain in these districts. Whereas there will be a yellow alert in Panchkula, Ambala, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Mahendragarh, Rewari and Gurugram.
Change in weather is expected from 6th August. There will be no alert in any district on this day. On 7th August, the weather is expected to be clear in Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar and Bhiwani (Haryana weather prediction). This means that it is necessary to keep an umbrella or raincoat with you for the next few days.
24% more rain in monsoon so far
This year, the monsoon has given 24% more rain on average in Haryana (Haryana monsoon report). Mahendragarh has recorded 543.9 mm of rain and Yamunanagar has recorded 525 mm of rain. On the other hand, districts like Kaithal and Jind have received the least rainfall.
While this spell of rain has brought relief from the heat, this weather is also proving beneficial for farmers. But due to continuous rain, waterlogging and traffic problems are also being seen in some areas. According to the IMD report, the first week of August will be important in terms of rain.
