As reported by The Starin the newly released ad, the pair don legal robes to play rival lawyers debating the phone’s features in court. In a nod to their past roles, Lam’s character addresses Chung as “Lawyer Sheung,” her character name in “Heart of Greed” and “Moonlight Resonance.”

Chung also shared behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot on social media, writing: “I haven’t acted as a character in a long time, and it felt really good to be back–especially working with my old colleague Raymond Lam.”

“It felt familiar, and also different in a good way,” she added. “Hope you enjoy our new project.”

Chung’s last television appearance was in the 2021 TVB medical drama “Kids’ Lives Matter.”

The smartphone ad marks the pair’s second public reunion this year, following her surprise guest appearance at Lam’s “Go With the Flow” concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum on May 26. There, they performed “My Heart Understands,” the theme song from “Heart of Greed.” Lam told the audience they had not seen each other in more than 10 years.

Chung, 41, joined TVB in 2004 after winning the Miss Chinese International pageant, and ended her contract with the broadcaster in 2018.

Lam, 46, entered TVB as an auditing student in the 13th artists’ training class in 1998, later signing a contract that year. Early in his career, he made walk-on appearances in various series and hosted for TVB8 before gaining fame with the 2001 drama “A Step into the Past.”
