SSC CGL Exam 2025 has been postponed. As per the pre-announced schedule, this exam was to start on August 13. Now the CGL exam will be organized by SSC in the month of September. Although its dates have not been announced yet, SSC has said that its program will be released soon.

Why was the exam postponed

SSC has issued a notice and informed about the postponement of the CGL exam. Along with this, the reason for this has also been given. SSC has said that the Supreme Court has given instructions to make some improvements in the exam. To implement this, a revised model was adopted, which was implemented in the Phase XIII exam held from July 24 to August 1, 2025. These exams were conducted at 194 places across the country.

SSC said that more than 5.50 lakh candidates took these exams at matriculation, senior secondary, and graduation levels. SSC said that some candidates have complained of technical problems during the exam.

Such candidates will get a chance to re-examine

SSC has said that the candidates who complained of technical flaws during the examination have been identified and they have been given a chance to re-examine. For example, they were given a chance to appear in the examination in other shifts till August 1. Along with this, examinations were also conducted for such candidates on August 2.

At the same time, SSC has further said that some such candidates will be provided another opportunity to appear in the exam on Friday, 29 August 2025. They will be informed through their mobile number and e-mail. Such candidates will be able to download their admit card till 26 August. SSC has said that in view of this, it has been decided to postpone the CGL exam starting from 13 August.
