Patna News: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has given a big gift to the people of Bihar. CM has released the amount of social security pension in the accounts of one crore 12 lakh beneficiaries. He has instructed the officers to include all the eligible persons left out of this scheme. The Chief Minister paid the amount with one click at an event organized at his residence at Arne Marg in Patna.
There are 6 social security pension schemes implemented in the state, of which 03 pension schemes are run by the central government and 03 pension schemes are run by the state government, which are as follows.
The scheme has been in force since 1995. Eligibility - Senior citizens aged 60 years or above of the poverty line (BPL) families. From June 2025, the pension amount will be Rs 1100 per month. Pension (For the age group of 60-79 years, the central government is contributing Rs 200 per month and the state government is contributing Rs 900 per month. For the age group of 80 years or more, the Central Government is contributing Rs 500 per month and the state government is contributing Rs 600 per month.)
Pension amount from June 2025 to Rs 1100 per month. In fact, the central government is contributing Rs 100 per month. 300/- per month and the state government is giving contribution of 800/- per month. The application should be submitted at the RTPS counter of the block. The approval officer is Assistant Director, District Social Security Cell. The number of pensioners is 6,35,553.
