What is Delhi Widow Pension Scheme?



Delhi Widow Pension Scheme is for women aged 18 years or above who are widows, who are divorced, whose husbands have left them or they are separated, who are orphans or destitute. Every month, financial assistance of Rs 2,500 is sent directly to the bank account of all these women by the government. At the same time, to take advantage of this scheme, it is necessary to be a resident of Delhi for the last 5 years. Apart from this, the total income of the woman in a year should be less than 1,00,000, along with this, no other government pension should be received, the woman should not have remarried and the bank account should be active.



What documents are required?



For Delhi Widow Pension Scheme, Aadhar Card, Proof of Age like Birth Certificate, Voter ID, 10th Marksheet, Husband's Death Certificate or Divorce and Separation Documents, Proof of Living in Delhi for 5 Years like Ration Card, Electricity, Water, Gas Bill, Bank Passbook, Along with this, the bank passbook should be a savings account linked to Aadhar, which should have entries of the last one year. There should be a passport size photo and Self Declaration Form of Income.



How to apply online for widow pension?



1. First register on the portal: Go to e-District Delhi portal, go to Citizen Corner and click on New User Registration, enter the Aadhar number and fill all the other required information, after the registration is complete, User ID and Password will come on the mobile number.



2. Now apply online: Log in to the portal again, go to Apply for Service, select Women & Child Development Department, click on Apply against Delhi Pension Scheme to Women in Distress, fill in all the information asked in the form and upload the documents, after submitting the application you will get an Acknowledgement Receipt, take its print or save the PDF.
