In view of the situation, many important steps have been taken by the Railways so that the safety of the passengers can be ensured. But till then people have been advised to be cautious and get updates before traveling. As of now, due to heavy rains and floods, the Railways has canceled 65 trains. 65 trains to Jammu cancelled due to rain


The situation in Jammu is currently very bad due to heavy rains. Rail services have been badly affected due to floods in the Chakki river and landslides. Northern Railways said that 65 trains had to be cancelled due to damage to the track. While the route of many trains had to be changed. Some trains have been stopped mid-way and their destinations have been shortened. Due to this, thousands of passengers travelling from North India to Jammu and Kashmir are facing problems. At present, repair work is going on and rail services will be back on track only after the situation becomes normal. Passengers are advised to check the status of all trains before travelling. Special trains run for passengers stranded in Jammu


After trains were cancelled due to heavy rains, special trains have been run by the Railways to evacuate passengers stranded in Jammu. Railways ran two special trains today. The first train number 02238 Jammu-Banaras Special left at 3:45 pm with about 1200-1400 passengers. The second train number 04680 Jammu-New Delhi Special left at 5:40 pm with about 1200 passengers. Railway teams took over the operation of the special train under the supervision of Division Railway Manager Vivek Kumar and Senior Division Railway Manager Uchit Singhal. The stranded passengers thanked the railways for this arrangement.
