Yamini Reddy is a well -known dancer of classical dance Kuchipudi. She is the daughter of famous dancer Dr. Raja Reddy and Dr. Radha Reddy, who gave Kuchipudi a new identity on the international stage. Yamini, who grew up in the world of dance since childhood, has balanced the tradition and modernity in her art.
He has performed on many prestigious forums in the country and abroad and has won the hearts of the audience with his unique expression, physical rhythm and emotional depth. He once told IANS that he gave his first performance on stage at the age of 3. He told that his parents used to practice Kuchipudi continuously and used to visit the country. She also used to go with her in childhood, many times Yamini also insisted on performing on stage.
During one such performance, Yamini started stubbornly, while her father had asked her to wait behind the curtain, went on stage. Yamini says, “My parents just calm me and say, ‘Oh, we will soon call you on stage, don’t worry, just sit here.’
So after doing this two or three times, I got very upset and then I went to the stage when my father was dancing. I continued to demand that I perform. The audience was so happy that he let me dance and this was my first stage performance. “
