New Delhi: On 10 September 2025, Joby Aviation, a company making electric air taxis and Uber Technologies the ride share and delivery platform, came up with the collaboration to bring  Blade’s air mobility services to the Uber app as soon as next year. This taxi is used for the commercial passenger services and can help passengers to travel by air and avoid road traffic.

According to the reports, in 2024, Blade flew more than 50,000 passengers across a network of routes in the New York metropolitan area and Southern Europe, including high-traffic destinations such as Newark Liberty International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport, Manhattan and the Hamptons. 

Joby Aviation made a clever move by making a partnership with Uber, because they are well aware of Uber network of customers across the globe, so the Joby don’t have to build a special platform or app to gather an audience, they can simply provide their air cab service through the Uber stablished platform. The founder and CEO of Joby, JoeBen Bevirt says that integrating Blade into the Uber app is the natural next step in our global partnership with Uber and will lay the foundation for the introduction of our quiet, zero-emissions aircraft in the years ahead. Together with Uber’s global platform and Blade’s proven network, we’re setting the stage for a new era of air travel worldwide.

Joby Aviation was established in 2009 while Uber in 2010. Joby Aviation is a California-based transportation company developing an all-electric, vertical take-off and landing air taxi. Uber starts with a strategy with how people get access to a ride at the touch of a button and get more than 64 billion trips later. However the main goal of Joby is fast, quiet, and convenient air taxi service in cities around the world and sell its aircraft to other operators and partners.
