Piers Morgan and Don Lemon clashed on the hosts TV show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, as the former CNN presenter claimed he was being "ambushed". Don was axed from CNN in 2023 after making comments about when a woman is "in her prime" which sparked uproar from his co-hosts, who immediately asked: "What are you talking about?"

Don said during the segment: "I'm not saying I agree with that," but as he appeared on screen with Piers, he was asked if he would say it again.

He appeared infuriated and said that Piers hadn't mentioned the CNN exit ahead of Don confirming he would appear on the show -- but Piers confirmed the pair hadn't spoken, it was his team who had made plans about what would be said on the show.

Don said: "Not once was CNN mentioned, so I don't appreciate being ambushed."

His claim immediately prompted a reaction from Piers who threw his hands up and said: "Ambushed? Hang on one second. Let's just be crystal clear about what's just happened."

Piers reminded him that he had brought up cancel culture and Piers asked if he felt his exit from CNN was an example of that, which Don had answered. Piers added: "I think it's perfectly reasonable."

The pair then started arguing over each other as the exchange became more and more heated.

Don fumed: "Did you invite me here to interrupt me?" prompting Piers to respond: "I think you're being a complete d**k if I'm being honest with you."

Piers then added: "You're a journalist and you don't want to talk about a massive story that involved you?" Don then also claimed that the comment wasn't the reason he was fired from CNN.

A number of claims led to his axing, but he worked on the show for two months after making the controversial comment, in which he was mandated to undergo formal training as a result.
