Maharashtra Government Brings Festive Cheer: ₹1,500 Credit for Women Under Ladki Bahin Yojana Before Diwali

In a welcome move ahead of the festive season, the Maharashtra government has announced the release of the September installment of the ‘Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’, bringing financial relief to thousands of women across the state. Under this flagship women empowerment scheme, eligible beneficiaries aged between 21 and 65 years will receive ₹1,500 per month directly into their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.

The state government began transferring the September installment from October 10, ensuring that the amount reaches beneficiaries before Diwali. This initiative aims to spread festive happiness while continuing the government’s mission to promote financial independence among women.

Launched in 2024, the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana was designed to strengthen the social and economic foundation of women, especially those from financially weaker backgrounds. The monthly financial support helps women manage household expenses and encourages them to pursue self-reliance.

Beneficiaries simply need to enter their Aadhaar number, captcha code, and OTP received on their registered mobile number. The scheme primarily targets poor, widowed, divorced, and economically disadvantaged women, helping them enhance their financial stability and improve their quality of life.
