BABYMONSTER’s Pharita talks about Rami’s hiatus

As per Allkpop reports, the group held a fan-signing event on October 11, where all of the members, not including Rami, were present. The 17-year-old has been on a break from group activities for the past six months, initially citing health concerns. No major updates had been shared about the idol, worrying fans.
During the event, one of the fans ended up asking Pharita about Rami’s well-being and what had happened to her. The idol reassured the fans and promptly replied by saying, "Rami is still unwell, but she's getting better."
The singer’s break from group activities had begun in May 2025, when her company had issued an official notice sharing that she would be stepping away from group activities until further notice. No details have been shared about what kind of health issues she has been suffering from; however, they had stated that the issues had been going on for a very long time. They cited that this is one of the reasons behind her going on a long and much-needed break.
Since her hiatus, BABYMONSTER has already released two albums and has also gone on a tour as well. This has left fans saddened as Rami has not been able to get involved in a lot of content.
BABYMONSTER debuted back in March 2024, after the members topped in the survival variety show ‘Last Evaluation.’ They are a multinational group made up of 7 members, namely: Asa, Ruka , Ahyeon , Pharita, Chiquita, Rami, and Rora . They come from the same management agency as BLACKPINK and 2NE1.
