Draupadi Murmu Helicopter Incident: President Draupadi Murmu, who was on Sabarimala visit, had a narrow escape at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Pramadam, Kerala. During the landing of the helicopter, part of the helipad caved in and the chopper got stuck. Police and fire force personnel pushed the helicopter out by hand.
President Draupadi Murmu narrowly escaped a serious accident in Kerala during her visit to Sabarimala. This incident was seen this morning at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Pramadam, Kerala. The chopper carrying the President suddenly got stuck in a concrete pit.
After landing of the helicopter, the tarmac part of the helipad caved in, due to which the chopper got stuck in the sunken place. A video of the incident has also surfaced on social media. Police personnel and fire force personnel deployed on the spot took immediate action to control the situation. He pulled the helicopter out of the sunken place by pushing it with his hand.
Senior officials said that President Draupadi Murmu narrowly escaped the incident and there was no major accident. After this incident, the President left for Pamba by road after alighting from the helicopter. Giving information about the reasons for the incident, a senior official said that the landing of the President’s helicopter was earlier to be done at Nilakkal near Pamba. But, due to bad weather, the landing plan was changed to the stadium.
The official clarified that the helipad was prepared at the stadium late on Tuesday night. It is feared that the concrete was not completely set till morning. When the helicopter landed there, potholes were formed in the concrete and the helicopter sank into these potholes.

Let us tell you that President Draupadi Murmu is on a four-day visit to the southern states. She reached Kerala’s capital Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday evening. This morning she left for the hill temple at Pathanamthitta.
