Lapillus is a 3 year old K-pop girl group . While they have been inactive for quite some time with no updates from their management firm, fans have remained hopeful and someday the group will suddenly announce a comeback out of nowhere. However, the group’s status is unclear, while the leader has officially announced her departure from the company as well.

On October 26, the idol took to her personal social media account to share this. She shared a heartfelt handwritten note about the matter on her account. She shared that she is truly grateful for everyone and how they have managed to remember her and support her and the group through the years.
Her statement also added that, “I am no longer under contract with the agency I was previously affiliated with. All the memories, experiences, and growth I gained during that time are invaluable treasures that I will never forget.” She further revealed that she has been sitting at the announcement for quite some time, though thought that it would not be fair for everyone to keep holding on in times of need.
She also added that, “Meeting Chanty, Yue, Bessie, Seowon, Haeun was also such a happiness!✩ˎˊ˗They know both my shortcomings and my good side & and I love them as my dear friends. I was truly blessed with many people around me, thanks to all of you. I’m incredibly happy. I look forward to the day I can share more good news with you in the future. By the way, I’m feeling really happy and enjoy fulfilling days. I owe it all to you, everyone.”
The group has been inactive since February this year.
While most fans have been celebrating the idol and her career, and are praising her being strong enough to make this decision. Many other comments flood in the post, however, citing that this also means that the group may have disbanded as well since there has been no word from the company. One comment read, “farewell lapillus. you served us great and bad music, happy and sad music, emotional and silly music. but what you never failed to do was serve. thank you for your time. and for this hit,” while another shared, “Lapillus disbanding was not on my 2025 bingo card and I dont think ill ever recover from this.”
