Mumbai, October 29 (Read): Actress Kriti Kharbanda, known for her charming smile that’s both playful and intense, says the 2017 film ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ changed her life forever. Born on October 29, 1990, in Delhi, Kriti never imagined she would one day make a name for herself in Bollywood’s dazzling world.

Kriti began her journey with modelling and ad films before making her acting debut in the Telugu movie ‘Boni’ in 2009. After working in several South Indian films, she entered Hindi cinema with ‘Raaz Reboot’ in 2016. But it was ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’co-starring Rajkummar Rao, that brought her widespread recognition. Her simplicity and heartfelt performance in the film won over audiences. She later appeared in ‘Housefull 4’, ‘Insanity’and ’14 Phere’proving her versatility across comedy and emotional roles.

For Kriti, ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ was not just another acting assignment but an emotional and transformative experience. She revealed in several interviews that during the film’s shoot, especially the wedding sequences, she felt deeply connected to her character, Aarti Shukla — a small-town PCS officer whose dignity and dreams are tested at the altar.

“When I first dressed up as a traditional bride, the atmosphere on set felt so real that the line between reel and reality blurred,” Kriti shared. The emotions, the rituals, and the wedding setup often left her teary-eyed. “It wasn’t just acting — I was living Aarti’s emotional turmoil, especially the night she walks away from her wedding,” she said.

The actress described the film as a “magical experience” that gave her not only fame but also deep artistic satisfaction. According to her, the love and recognition she received from ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ were far more valuable than any commercial success.

Before that, Kriti had already shown her dedication to authentic storytelling in her Kannada film “According to Add”where she portrayed a rustic 1980s village girl without makeup. To make the role realistic, she even designed her costumes with her mother’s help, ensuring every detail reflected the simplicity and authenticity of the character.

With ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’Kriti Kharbanda proved she is much more than a glamorous face — she is an actress capable of emotional depth and sincerity that leaves a lasting mark on audiences.
