Sometimes Manchester United supporters must be sick of the sight of the transfer window. The past summer, signings such as Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Senne Lammens have all made positive impressions and look like they will end up as smart purchases.
However, that has not been the case always, especially in recent years. United's recruitment, particularly since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, ensured that the Red Devils dropped off from becoming Premier League heavyweights and are now hoping to secure Champions League football - having missed out on Europe entirely last season in a bottom-half finish.
