Are you harassed by transgender people while traveling on trains and forced to pay? Don't worry if this happens to you next time. Indian Railways has provided passengers with an easy way to avoid them. All you need to do is file a complaint on the "Rail Madad" portal or call 139. In a similar case, the Railways have apprehended 54 individuals who were misusing their identity as transgender individuals to extort money on trains.


The Railway Protection Force, Agra Division, North Central Railway, is conducting a campaign against indecency, unauthorized travel, and extortion of money from passengers on trains and at railway stations. A special campaign was conducted in the Agra Division from October 1st to October 15th. During this campaign, 54 individuals were apprehended who were misusing their identity as transgender individuals to enter trains unauthorizedly and extort money from passengers.


Between January and October 2025, the Railway Protection Force, Agra Division, took action against a total of 303 individuals who were harassing passengers by unauthorized entry into trains. During this period, a total of 257 complaints regarding such harassment were filed by passengers on the "Rail Madad" portal, which were promptly addressed.


All posts and outpost in-charges of the division have been instructed to maintain vigilance, conduct regular checks on trains and platforms, and ensure prompt and effective action where necessary. Passengers have also been urged to immediately report any such incidents to the Railway Protection Force, helpline 139, or the nearest personnel on duty.
