In 2021, filmmaker Subhash Kapoor of Jolly LLB fame created a political drama inspired by real-life events titled Maharani.


Starring Huma Qureshi in the titular role, Maharani went on to become a big OTT hit for SonyLIV and is now has made a much-awaited comeback with season four.

As the new season began streaming on SonyLIV, fans took to social media and praised Huma Qureshi’s performance as well as the show’s narrative.
