The M6 in Cumbria is closed northbound between J42 and J43 (Carlisle) due to an incident which occurred on Wednesday at approximately 11.30am. Cumbria Police, Ambulance and the Air Ambulance were alerted to an incident involving a light goods vehicle where the driver had a medical episode.


A stretch of the motorway is closed northbound while Cumbria Police remain at the scene. Traffic was temporarily held southbound too, to allow the air ambulance to land safely.
