Placement season begins at IITs on December 1st.

During this period, companies will conduct interviews day and night to select students. The placement process will continue in two phases until May. Leading companies in the IT, management, engineering, analytics, and finance sectors will offer job opportunities to students based on their talent.

Placement officials at several institutes, including IIT Delhi, BHU, Guwahati, and Madras, say that students are likely to receive high package offers on the very first day. Additionally, pre-placement offers and multiple job offers are also expected to be received in large numbers this time.

Emphasis on Student Preparation and Stress Reduction
IIT management has paid special attention to reducing students' mental stress before placements. Counseling, therapy sessions, and mental health awareness programs are being conducted. Students' diet and health are also being monitored.

Training has been ongoing for several days to improve interview performance. Special counseling has also been provided by experts to address students' weaknesses. Separate training sessions have also been organized for Hindi and non-Hindi speaking students to ensure they have fewer problems with the English language.

The IT sector is expected to dominate IIT placements this year as well. According to estimates, approximately 32% of students will find jobs in the IT sector. 2931% students are expected to get opportunities in core engineering, 1415% in consultancy, 1011% in management, 910% in analytics, and 45% in the finance sector.
