The trend of earning money by creating content on YouTube is growing rapidly. The biggest question on many new creators' minds is: how much does one earn per 10,000 views? It's challenging to provide a direct answer to this question because earnings are influenced by numerous factors. Let's understand it in simple terms.

The largest source of YouTube revenue is Adsense, which refers to the ads displayed on videos. Every time your video is viewed and an ad plays on it, YouTube gives you a portion of the ad revenue.

YouTube gives approximately 55% of the revenue to the creator, and YouTube keeps the remaining 45%. However, not every video earns the same amount. Two important terms come into play here: CPM and RPM.

CPM (Cost Per Mille) indicates how much an advertiser pays for 1,000 ads. This is dependent on the advertiser. CPM can vary by country and category, with finance, tech, and business videos having the highest CPM.

RPM (Revenue Per Mille) is the amount a creator earns for 1,000 views. RPM = YouTube cut + ad view percentage.

The average YouTube RPM in India ranges from ₹20 to ₹80. This depends on the category of the video, whether the audience is from India or outside, the length of the video, and how many people skip ads. On average, earnings per 10,000 views in India can range from ₹200 to ₹800.

If the video is in a high CPM category, such as tech, finance, or education, earnings can go up to ₹1,500. Entertainment or vlog-type videos have the lowest earnings.
