The World Cup draw is almost upon us as England and Scotland await their group stage fate. The official draw is set to take place on Friday evening in Washington, kicking off at 5pm UK time.

A total of 64 teams will enter the draw, which includes the potential play-off victors, with 12 groups of four teams set to be decided. The number will whittle down to an official 48 once March's play-off round concludes, with plenty of opportunity for other nations to still make it to the World Cup.

Wales, the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland are all still in with a chance of qualifying should they make it through the knock-out stages next spring. While each national team will find out their opponents on Friday evening, fans will have to wait a little while longer to book their flights. The official venues of each group stage game will not be announced until Saturday evening.

The special reveal show, which will be broadcast by FIFA, will take place on Saturday, December 6, at 5pm UK time. The governing body will confirm venues and kick-off times for all 104 matches of the tournament, which will be staged across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino will lead the venue reveal with official representatives of all currently qualified teams expected to be in attendance.
