The Formula 1 2025 season has come to an end with an enthralling race at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday.


Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen has won the season-ending race, finishing above McLaren duo Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.


Verstappen had earlier clinched a stunning pole position.


However, despite winning the race, Verstappen saw Norris claim his maiden F1 championship title.

Norris's path to his first championship was always simple. He needed to finish on the podium, no matter what.


For Verstappen to win his fifth consecutive title he needed Norris to finish fourth or lower.


Piastri, who was 16 points off the lead, would have needed some misfortune to befall his rivals in order to win his first title.

Verstappen finished the season with 8 race wins and 15 podium finishes from 24 races.


Overall in F1, the Dutchman owns 71 race wins after conquering Abu Dhabi. In terms of podiums, he has collected a tally of 127.


Verstappen ended the season strongly. He claimed victory in last weekend's Qatar GP.

Meanwhile, Piastri, who finished 2nd, finished his season with 7 race wins. However, he clinched his 16th podium finish of the year from 24 races this season. Overall, this was his 26th podium finish in F1.
