To preserve the rich tribal culture of Madhya Pradesh, special tribal cultural centers will be created in four districts. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav made this announcement during the review of Scheduled Caste Welfare and Tribal Affairs Department. Under this, separate cultural centers will be established for Baiga in Mandla, Bharia in Chhindwara, Sahariya in Sheopur and Bhil tribe in Dhar.
The Chief Minister said that grand events will be organized in every district and development block to remember the sacrifices of local heroes and freedom fighters in the tribal areas and tribal deity places will also be renovated and upgraded. Along with this, the Chief Minister directed that the hostel buildings should be developed with modern technology and the buildings under construction should be completed soon.
Many major decisions were taken in the review meeting of the Scheduled Caste Welfare and Tribal Affairs Department. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced to establish special tribal cultural centers in four districts. It has also been decided to implement new merit-based criteria for studying abroad, so that eligible students can get transparent and competitive opportunities. Giving instructions to completely modernize the hostels of Scheduled Caste and Tribe, the CM said that smart classes, Wi-Fi, digital library and new technology should be used in all the hostels. The work of the hostel buildings under construction should be completed soon. The Foreign Study Scholarship Scheme has now been made completely merit based, under which 31 new students have been selected this time.
Sharing the achievements of the last two years, the Scheduled Caste Welfare Department said that 271 students cleared the civil services examinations, more than 1800 students were given scholarships in national institutes including IIT-IIM and the Inter-Caste Marriage Promotion Scheme was made completely online. The Tribal Department appointed 1846 teachers in Eklavya schools, provided housing assistance of Rs 240 crore to 1.43 lakh students, distributed scholarship worth Rs 766 crore to 23.59 lakh students and completed 1.28 lakh pucca houses under PM Janman Yojana. At the same time, Madhya Pradesh has received the “Best State” award from the Government of India in tribal welfare and Betul and Shivpuri districts have also received the Best District Award.
