Strictly Come Dancing's future remains a mystery as fans continue to anticipate which famous faces could take over Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman's hosting duties. The duo, who have been fronting the BBC series together since 2014, officially announced they would be stepping down from their roles in October, shocking fans nationwide. Although the beloved pair assured fans they would stay until the end of series 23, they added: "We will cry when we say the last 'keep dancing', but we will continue to say it to each other. Just possibly in tracksuit bottoms at home while holding some pizza."

With multiple names, including Holly Willoughby, Alison Hammond, and Rylan Clark, named among the predictions, former Strictly star Ellie Taylor has shared her interest in the hosting role. The beloved TV star famously took to the dance floor in 2022 alongside professional Johannes Radebe, finishing the competition in seventh place. In an exclusive interview with the Daily Express, Ellie joked: "I reckon I could find the time," before adding: "Of course, I can't imagine there's anyone who works in live entertainment who wouldn't love that job.

"It's such an iconic show, and it's been a part of my life since I was a kid growing up, and to see how it's still around, still such a wholesome, lively family viewing.

"My daughter loves it, it's so lovely, the multigenerational thing, and it's a really special show, of course, I would love to be a part of it."

She added: "But if being a part of it is just being in the Striclty alumni, I will happily take that."

Reflecting on her time on the show, the comedian admitted it was "terrifying" and shared: "But I look back on it with such fondness, and I had a wonderful time doing it, I really, really enjoyed it."

Ellie went on: "I really got a lot from the experience, I stayed in for much longer than I thought I would, and I'm really lucky that I'm part of the alumni of the best show."

The BBC host spoke in partnership with Halfords after their study found that Brits spend an average of 11.6 hours a year sitting in their car simply to relax and find some peace.

They also found that 77% of car owners have this secret habit and 49% go as far as to admit they have hidden in their car from someone, with most commonly 16% being from neighbours, 13% from children or another 13% from their partner. Meanwhile 30% confessed they've been caught by a partner or family member.

Ellie also added that she is among these Brits as she revealed: "I completely understand that because the joy of doing the school drop-off, and it's just peace. I love it, it's a little bit of a sanctuary. I think of it as self-care slash self-car."
