Amidst IndiGo flight cancellation, a father from Haryana drove 800 km to take his son to Indore on time for the December 8 exam. The problems of families and the role of airlines became the topic of discussion.

New Delhi/Indore. Due to Indigo flight cancellation across the country, the problems of thousands of passengers have increased. Stories of families stranded at the airport are coming to light every day, but the struggle of Rajnath Panghal of Rohtak district of Haryana is different and mysterious from all these.

Why did the story of flight cancellation become suspense?

Panghal had booked an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Indore as his son's pre-board exams began on December 8. The flight was scheduled to take off from Delhi at 5.35 pm on 6 December. But on reaching the airport they came to know that the flight had been cancelled. Panghal said, "We were confused about what to do next. My son's exams were going to start soon and he had to reach school on time."

800 kilometer overnight drive

Faced with fewer options and increasing time pressure, Panghal decided to drive 800 kilometers through the night. The roads were not fully prepared, but Panghal got his son to school on time at 7 am. "There were difficulties on the way, but my son reached school on time. This was my priority," Panghal said.

Airline compensation and the family challenge

Panghal says that the compensation given by the airline should not be limited to the price of the flight ticket only. "In case of any emergency, such as rising air fares and long distance travel, the expenses incurred by families should also be compensated," he said.

IndiGo's chaos and stability of operations

This month, Indigo canceled thousands of flights due to failure to plan properly for safety rules. The highest number of cancellations occurred on December 5 and after that the number gradually decreased. The airline said on Tuesday that its operations are now stable and back to normal levels. But the story of families like Panghal still remains a topic of discussion.

Mystery and suspense

This experience of Rajnath Panghal is not just a personal struggle, but has become a symbol of the chaos of IndiGo and the challenges of the passengers. The question is whether the airline will plan better to deal with such problems in future, or passengers will have to struggle on their own every time.
