Tony Blackburn, who was a household name DJ married to TV star Tessa Wyatt in the mid-1970s - claimed to have been in a "love square" with his neighbours. The affair claim became public last week following Tony's appearance with broadcaster Gyles Brandreth on his Rosebud podcast. The BBC DJ claims that Wyatt, 77, only found out about his affair with one of their neighbours when she read his autobiography, The Living Legend, published in 1985.
Speaking about his early life and his marriage to Wyatt, the presenter claimed: "We both had affairs... She didn't know I was having an affair with the next door neighbour.
"And she was having an affair with her husband. And she didn't know that I was having an affair with her."
Wyatt has strongly denied Blackburn's claim that she had had an affair with their neighbour telling the Telegraph: "That's not true. I've never had any affairs. He may say that, but it's just not true."
Now, his former neighbour Margot Webb has addressed Blackburn's account. She and her husband Roger had lived nearby to Blackburn and his former wife.
Margot admitted to having an affair with Blackburn but denied claims of a "love square" with their neighbours and described her romantic relationship with Blackburn as short-lived.
Speaking to the Mail On Sunday, she explained: "I haven't had that many lovers, but Tony was the worst one I ever had. Wham, bam, thank you, ma'am. He didn't have a clue."
Margot, now 77, continued: "He's so boastful. He's talking about something that happened 50 years ago.
"Everyone knows what he got up to so why does he keep going on about it? It's horrible."
Blackburn previously claimed that he bedded 250 women during the height of his fame as a BBC Radio DJ. The presenter, 81, revealed in his 2007 autobiography, Poptastic! My Days in Radio, that women "threw themselves" at him during the peak of his 60-year career, and he loved the attention.
Following his divorce from Wyatt, Blackburn admitted having slept with hundreds of women before suffering periods of depression in the 1980s.
In June 1992, he married Debra "Debbie" Thomson, a theatrical agent, with whom he had a daughter. The couple reside in Barnet, north London.
