Los Angeles: The Consulate General of India in Los Angeles has announced the opening of a new Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) in the city, further expanding access to consular services for the Indian diaspora and American citizens. The centre, operated by VFS Global, began operations from December 15, 2025.

Located at 800 South Figueroa Street, Suite 1210, Los Angeles, California, the new ICAC will function from Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm. In addition, the centre will also remain open on Saturdays to facilitate applicants and reduce waiting times.

According to the Consulate General of India in Los Angeles, the centre will offer a wide range of services, including passport applications, visa services, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards, renunciation of Indian citizenship, Global Entry Programme (GEP) services, attestation and other miscellaneous consular services. The initiative aims to make official processes smoother and more accessible for members of the Indian diaspora community in California.

Applicants seeking additional information can visit the official VFS Global website or contact the dedicated helpline numbers provided by the consulate. Queries can also be addressed via email to the consulate’s official address.

The Los Angeles centre is part of a broader expansion of India’s consular services across the United States. In August this year, eight new Indian Consular Application Centres were inaugurated in Raleigh, Orlando, San Jose, Dallas, Detroit, Columbus, Edison and Boston. These additions were introduced to cater to the growing demand for consular services amid an expanding Indian community in the country.

With the opening of the Los Angeles facility, the total number of ICACs in the United States has increased to 17. Officials said the expansion reflects India’s efforts to strengthen engagement with its diaspora and ensure timely, efficient delivery of consular services.
