Rather than milking the momentum after delivering two biggest blockbusters of 2025, Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna has chosen to stay away from the limelight.

Amid the success of his latest film Dhurandhar, a video of the actor performing a traditional puja at his Alibaug residence surfaced. The clip quickly went viral, with fans appreciating the actor’s simplicity and devotion. Here's the video:

Akshaye Khanna’s portrayal of Rehman Dakait in Dhurandhar earned him the kind of viral fame every actor yearns for. After delivering dynamite performances in Dhurandharand Laxman Utekar’s Chhaava, the actor is on his way to reclaim the appreciation he rightfully deserved.

As Dhurandhar is about to cross the INR 500 crore mark on its 13th day, Khanna has chosen to keep mum, stay away from the spotlight, and let his acting chops do all the talking.

As his fans been waiting to catch a glimpse of the actor, a recent video surfaced in which Akshaye is seen participating in a puja held at his Alibaug residence. Dressed in a crisp white shirt and blue denim pants, the actor is seen posing with the priest, Shivam Mhatre, who performed the puja.

Mhatre took to his Instagram to share a short reel of the puja. In the caption, he wrote, “I had the good fortune of performing a traditional and devotional puja at actor Akshay Khanna’s residence. His calm nature, simplicity, and positive energy made the experience truly special.”

Praising his craft, the priest added, “When it comes to class in acting, Akshay Khanna stands apart. Through his powerful and impactful role in the historical film Chhaava, he once again captured the audience’s attention. This was followed by his sharp and intense character in Dhurandhar, his restrained yet highly compelling performance in Drishyam 2, and his serious, realistic role in Section 375 — each film reflecting a new height in his acting journey.”

He added, “With carefully chosen roles, meaningful cinema, and mature performances, Akshay Khanna continues to hold a unique and respected place in the hearts of audiences.”

The video quickly went viral with fans praising his way of living as well as his professional achievements. One user wrote, “My man is chilling after delivering two ₹500+ crore blockbusters in a single year.” Another wrote, “Bro acted in two of the biggest Hindi films of the time and went to Alibaug to chill.”

Another fan wrote, “I aspire to be like this man—not performative, not attention-hungry. Just content, with quiet confidence that shows in his aura. Does his job with perfection and disappears. No overactive PR. Love him!”

Akshay Khanna’s role of Rehman Dakait in Dhurandhar gained him quite a bit of attention after the video of his entrance to the song FA9LA went super viral.

The film also stars Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna in lead roles, alongside Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and R. Madhavan. The sequel is scheduled to release on March 19, 2026.

Director Aditya Dhar and actor Ranveer Singh’s biggest ever hit, Dhurandhar has now made INR 411 crore net at Indian box office, with INR 200 crore coming just from its second week.
