Melbourne Stars have started their Big Bash League (BBL) 2025-26 campaign with a bang, defeating Hobart Hurricanes by eight wickets.

The match took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Thursday.

The Hurricanes scored 158/9 in 20 overs before the Stars sealed an 8-wicket win.
