The preparation meeting for the proposed state level cricket tournament to be held from January 1 to January 16 by Cricket Association Ambedkar Nagar was concluded. A strategy was made to make this tournament historic. This tournament will be played at BN Inter College, Akbarpur located at the district headquarters. 16 cricket teams including Nepal, Bihar, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Azamgarh, Ambedkar Nagar will participate in the game. In the said meeting, the programs in organizing the cricket tournament, facilities provided to the teams, prizes, income-expenditure, membership fees etc. were seriously discussed and necessary decisions were taken.

The meeting was held at Vinayak Grand Hotel in which officials and members associated with Cricket Association Ambedkar Nagar presented their views. The members present in the meeting unanimously passed the budget for sports expenses and also discussed how the budget should be completed. The meeting concluded by discussing other important points of the game in detail.

In the meeting Lalit Mohan Srivastava, Rakesh Sonkar, Sudhir Chaturvedi, Ajay Srivastava, Sandeep John, Anand Singh, Sanjay Srivastava, Prem Narayan Tiwari, Ram Krishna Tiwari, Anurag Upadhyay, Santosh Mishra “Tunnu”, Sabhajit Verma, Shiv Prasad Mishra “Acharya”, Yogesh Upadhyay, Shashi Bhushan Pandey, Mohd. Arif Khan, Rajan Shukla, Pinku Yadav, Pinku Association members like Kabra, Jang Bahadur Singh, Jairam Sangwani, etc. were present.
