Why are Sun and Saturn enemies of each other?

Surya-Shani Shatruta: Shani Dev is worshiped in Hindu religion. He is said to be the giver of fruits of deeds and the god of justice. Shani Dev is the son of Lord Surya. Many stories are popular about him. These stories include the story of enmity between Lord Surya and Shani Dev. It is believed that mutual relations between Shani Dev and Surya Dev are not good. According to a story in Skanda Purana, Sun God was married to Sangya, daughter of Daksh. Over time, both of them got three children. Their names were Manu, Yamraj and Yamuna. Sangya remained distracted by the glory of her husband Surya Dev. Once Sangya thought of staying away from Sun God. Then she created her own lookalike Samvarna and after giving her the responsibility of the children, she herself went to do penance.

Shani Dev is the son of Samvarna and Surya Dev.

Samvarna was a shadow. The sun had no effect on him at all. Samvarna and Surya Dev had three children, who were named Tapati, Bhadra and Shani. Samvarna never let Surya Dev know that he was not a noun but his shadow. Later, after the birth of Shani Dev, when Lord Surya went to meet his wife to see his son, Shani closed his eyes due to his brightness.

After this, Surya Dev saw with his divine vision that his son's complexion was black, after which he suspected that it could not be his son. It was because of this confusion that he abandoned Samvarna. This was the reason that in time Shani Dev became the staunch enemy of his father Surya Dev. Later, Shani performed rigorous penance for Lord Shiva and pleased him.

After this, Lord Shiva gave a boon to Shani Dev that he would get the best place. There will also be a supreme judge and magistrate. Not only ordinary humans, gods, demons, Siddhas, Vidyadhars, Gandharvas and Nagas all will be afraid of his name.
