Bigg Boss Telugu 9 concludes after declaring commoner contestant Kalyan Padala as the winner. In a neck-to-neck competition with actress Thanuja Puttaswamy , Kalyan emerged as the winner, taking home Rs 35 lakhs and a brand new SUV car. Along with this, the winner has also received Rs 5 lakhs from one of the sponsors for being the best performer of the season. The contestant, who entered the show after the Agnipariksha, the pre-launch event to pick the commoner contestants of the season, expressed his gratitude to his family, inmates, and viewers.
The grand finale of Bigg Boss Telugu 9 had a smashing run with five contestants racing for the winner's trophy. When Sanjjana Galwani finished the game in the fifth place, Emmanuel became the third runner-up. In a first-of-its-kind twist, the top 3 contestants were offered the silver briefcase, a cash box worth Rs 15 lakhs. After a suspense-filled moment, finalist Demon Pawan decided to take the cash box. Surprisingly, he was also the one to finish in the third place, making his decision apt. Thanuja Puttaswamy indeed gave a tough spot for the winner and finished as the runner-up of the season.
Kalyan Padala was one of the strongest contestants in the lot. Starting as the commoner contestant, he managed to gain much attention with his strategic gameplay. Though he had a slow start in the game, he was focused and smart enough to play with his unique tactics and make his way to the grand finale. He was also the first finalist to enter the season.
