The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has made a significant announcement regarding the examination schedule for students in Class 5 and Class 8 for the academic year 2025–26. The board has officially published the RBSE 5th and 8th Datesheet 2026, providing a clear timetable for the upcoming final exams. This update affects approximately 27 lakh students throughout Rajasthan who are enrolled in Class 5 and Class 8 under the RBSE framework.

As per the official announcement:

• RBSE Class 5 Final Exams 2026 will commence on February 20, 2026, and conclude on March 5, 2026.




• RBSE Class 8 Final Exams 2026 will begin on February 19, 2026, and finish on March 4, 2026.

This represents a notable shift in the examination schedule, as for the first time, both Class 5 and Class 8 board exams will take place in February, rather than the previous timelines. Historically, Class 8 exams coincided with Class 10 board exams, while Class 5 exams were held in April.

The Rajasthan Board has specified that the exams for both classes will be conducted in a single shift throughout the state.

• Exam Time: 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM




• Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes

To promote inclusivity, RBSE has implemented special arrangements for students with disabilities. Those with a 40% or greater disability will receive an extra 50 minutes to complete their exams.

RBSE has initiated the acceptance of online applications for the Class 5 and Class 8 board examinations starting from December 18, 2025. As of the latest update, over 2.5 lakh applications have already been submitted.
