‘Baahubali: The Epic’ comes on Netflix

Mumbai: The new film ‘Baahubali: The Epic’, created by combining SS Rajamouli’s hit films ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ (2015) and ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ (2017), is now available for streaming on Netflix. This film can be watched from today, 25 December 2025. It performed brilliantly at the box office after its theatrical release on October 31, 2025, and can now be enjoyed at home.

New version and length of the film

‘Baahubali: The Epic’ is a remastered and re-edited film, combining both the parts to present a complete story. The total length of the film is approximately 3 hours 43 minutes, which is shorter than the first two films as some scenes and songs have been trimmed. Rajamouli himself has edited this version to maintain balance in the story. The film relives the great saga of the Mahishmati Empire with a rich blend of action, drama, romance and betrayal.

gist of the story

The story of this film focuses on Mahendra Baahubali (Prabhas), who creates his identity as a tribal youth. When he grows up, he learns that he is the son of Prince Amarendra Baahubali. A conspiracy to murder his father and snatch the throne is hatched by Bhallaladeva (Rana Daggubati). Mahendra sets out in search of justice, tries to take back the throne, and saves the Mahishmati kingdom. Key characters like Devasena (Anushka Shetty), Avantika (Tamanna Bhatia), Kattappa (Satyaraj) and Sivagami (Ramya Krishnan) play important roles in this journey.

Music and performance appreciation

Prabhas is seen in a double role in the film – both father and son. His acting, Rajamouli’s vision and MM Keeravani’s background music fascinate the audience even today. The film proved to be a milestone for Indian cinema, exemplifying pan-India appeal and large scale. Classic themes like Mahabharata and Ramayana make it even more special.

Great time to watch with family

If you have seen both the parts before, this new version will give you a new experience. And if you are watching it for the first time, it is perfect as the entire story goes on without any breaks. Some fans regret that only the Hindi version is available right now, but it is expected to be released in other languages soon. Watching ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ sitting with the family during the Christmas holidays is a great option.
