The Hero Splendor Plus is priced at Rs 73,902 ex-showroom, while the starting price of the TVS Radeon starts at just Rs 55,100. This means Radian is cheaper by around 18k, which is a significant difference for those looking for a bike on a budget. Despite its low price, the Radiant is a strong choice in terms of both features and mileage.

Engine and Performance

The Hero Splendor Plus is powered by a 97.2 cc OHC petrol engine that produces 8.02 PS of power and 8.05 Nm of torque. This engine is known for its smoothness, refinement and low maintenance. The i3S idle start-stop system helps improve fuel efficiency in traffic.

The 109.7 cc engine of the TVS Radian is bigger and produces more torque. This bike produces 8.19 PS of power and 8.7 Nm of torque. The strong low-end torque gives the bike quick pickup and is easy to ride even in traffic. Its top speed reaches 90 km/h and SBT braking provides a safe riding experience.

Mileage and range

In terms of mileage, the Hero Splendor Plus offers a mileage of up to 70 kmpl as per ARAI. In actual conditions, this bike gives a mileage of 62-72 kmpl. The i3S system improves urban mileage. TVS Radeon has an ARAI mileage of 73.68 kmpl and its 10-litre fuel tank offers a range of over 700 km on a single charge.

Features and comfort

Splendor Plus is a simple and practical bike in terms of features. It has analog meter, i3S system and light weight. While TVS Radeon is ahead in terms of features. It offers semi-digital console, real-time mileage, USB charging, LED DRL, larger seat, side stand cut-off and high ground clearance. Radeon feels more comfortable in rural areas or rough roads.
