After much anticipation, ‘ Akhanda 2’ fans finally have an official release date and a platform for the film's streaming release. Following its theatrical launch on December 12, the Telugu action movie starring Nandamuri Balakrishna is set to evade digital platforms.
According to a report by OTT nights, Netflix has purchased the OTT streaming rights to ‘Akhanda 2,’ and the film will be available for viewing on January 9, 2026. However, this has yet to be confirmed.

The OTT release of ‘Akhanda 2’ is interesting for people who might have missed the movie in cinemas or are people who like watching big film events at home. ‘Akhanda 2’ was launched into cinemas after a delay to its originally planned release date of street launch on 5th December due to legal issues. However, ‘Akhanda 2’ was a much hyped movie for its release in theatres due to the immense star power of its lead actor Balakrishna and the Akhanda film franchise’s popularity with its core audience. Directed by Boyapati Srinu , the sequel features a returning performance by Nandamuri Balakrishna, who reprises his cult role of Akhanda, who does not fight because he is a God. One of the highlights of the sequel is the introduction of Aadhi Pinisetty in the movie in the role of a negative sender (villain), and his powers also cause the conflict of the movie. Speaking about signing up for the movie earlier, Aadhi reportedly said he had signed up with the belief in the director even without the complete narration of the movie in mind, keeping in view the strength of his character in the film.
