Patna. The state government is going to take a big step towards ending the long-running frauds, double sales and disputes regarding land and flat registry in Bihar. The government is now preparing to make the registry process completely technology-based and transparent, which will directly benefit the common people.

Actual picture of land will be visible before registration

Under the new system, it will now be mandatory to upload live on-spot photographs of any land, house, shop or flat on the government portal before registration. This photo will be recorded with exact latitude and longitude. Until this process is completed, registration will not be possible. The Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department is developing a special software for this, which will link the actual condition of the land with the digital records.

Fake sales and land mafia will be banned

Through the new technology, as soon as the location based picture of the land is uploaded into the system, the software will automatically check who is the actual owner of that land. If someone tries to resell already registered land, the system will immediately alert and the registration process will be stopped. This will effectively control double registration and fraud.

Existing shortcomings will be resolved

In the current system, GPS based verification is done, but in many cases there is a lot of variation in location, especially in rural areas. This creates a situation of dispute. In the new system, this problem will be completely eliminated by uploading the picture taken while standing on the ground and its exact location.

Information will be available on mobile

After the implementation of the new system, as soon as the registry is completed, an SMS will be sent to the buyer’s mobile number. Complete information and photos to the land will be available in it. The buyer will be able to use this digital document as a government record in future, thereby eliminating the need to visit offices.
