If your current broadband seems far too expensive and not up to scratch, then EE might have just what you are looking for. The telecoms firm, which is now part of BT, has just announced the launch of some new deals that not only offer lower prices but also a brand new Smart Hub 7 Plus router that's powered by Wi-Fi 7 technology.

For those not aware, Wi-Fi 7 is the next generation of connectivity that not only beams faster internet around homes but also allows more devices to be connected simultaneously. This latest system far outperforms older Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5 routers, which many homes still have tucked in the corner of their living rooms.

Those signing up to one of EE's full fibre broadband plans will get a Smart Hub 7 Plus device as standard, and thanks to the January sale, things have just got cheaper.

Prices now start from £26.99 for basic 74Mbps speeds, which is fast enough for a bit of streaming and web access.

Switch things up, and you'll pay just £30.99 for Full Fibre 500MB and £34.99 for Full Fibre 900MB - that's EE's lowest ever prices.

As a quick guide, 500Mbps downloads are capable of beaming a full HD movie to TVs in just 1 minute. Opt for 900Mbps speeds and that time drops to just 30 seconds.

These monthly savings across EE's home broadband are available from now until January 29, with EE's lowest ever prices available on selected packages.

EE isn't the only broadband supplier offering new year deals. Virgin Media has also cut the cost of plans which it says offers 'lowest ever' prices on super fast speeds.

Deals include 264Mbps for £23.99 and 516Mbps for £27.99 per month.
