Renowned Pakistani drama writer Zanjabeel Asim Shah, known for delivering multiple hit television serials, recently opened up about her personal life during an appearance on Green Entertainment’s podcast The Green Room. The writer is currently receiving widespread praise for her successful drama Pamaal, which is airing on Green Entertainment.

During the conversation, Zanjabeel Asim Shah spoke candidly about her late husband’s deep emotional bond with their daughters. She revealed that his intense protectiveness closely resembled the character Raza, drawing parallels between real life and her on-screen portrayals.

She described her husband as an exceptionally devoted father who was always attentive to the wellbeing of his daughters. According to her, he would carefully observe them every day to ensure they were safe and unharmed. She shared that his involvement in their lives was constant, from personally taking them for haircuts to accompanying them everywhere, reflecting his strong emotional attachment.

Zanjabeel Asim Shah said her husband cherished having daughters and never wished for sons. She added that his protectiveness extended even to travel routines, as he would repeatedly call the driver to give instructions whenever the family was on the road. However, she noted that in his absence, such concern was deeply felt, as there were no calls or guidance.

Reflecting on his illness, the writer praised her husband’s courage, saying he faced death with remarkable strength and ensured all matters were carefully planned before his passing.

Speaking about her work, Zanjabeel Asim Shah revealed that she was going through depression while writing Pamaal. She said the emotional impact of the project did not affect her at the time of its release, but she later realized that many viewers experienced emotional distress after watching the drama. She added that life’s hardships have made her stronger, and she now views challenges with resilience and emotional maturity
