Raipur : On the occasion of the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and National Youth Day, a grand display of enthusiasm and patriotism of the youth was seen in Raipur. On this occasion, “Swadeshi Sankalp Run” was organized from Subhash Stadium to Swami Vivekananda Sarovar, the objective of which was to develop patriotism, indigenous spirit and positive thinking among the youth.

Chief guest of the program, Higher Education and Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma while addressing the youth said that Swami Vivekananda ji showed the youth the path of self-confidence, character and service to the nation. He said that it is very important to have values ​​along with education, because education is not only the acquisition of knowledge but also a medium of personality and character building.

Minister Verma said that the basis of progress of any nation is its youth power. India has today entered the golden age of independence and the large participation of youth in the country’s population provides it an opportunity to establish itself as a strong nation on the world stage. He expressed confidence that the coming decade will take India to new heights with the hard work, energy and innovation of youth power.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve to make India a developed nation by 2047, he said that the role of youth will be decisive in achieving this goal. Also appreciated the continuous efforts being made by the Chhattisgarh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai for the all-round development of the youth.

On this occasion, Minister Tankram Verma flagged off the Swadeshi Sankalp Run and made the youth present pledge to adopt Swadeshi and work in the national interest.

In the program, Dharsiwan MLA Anuj Sharma, Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission Chairman Vishwa Vijay Singh Tomar, Private University Association President Vijay Kumar Goyal, Secretary Higher Education Department Dr. S. Bharathidasan, Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Lal Ummed Singh, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vishwadeep, District Panchayat CEO Kumar Bishwaranjan and a large number of students, youth and citizens were present.
