Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was seen in his old style from the stage of Gorakhpur Mahotsav on Tuesday. He not only highlighted the changing face of the city but also gave a strong message to the opposition and criminals. CM Yogi said in clear words that Gorakhpur, which was once synonymous with neglect and crime, is today touching new heights of development. Assuring security, he said that if any goon dares to harm his daughter today, he will find ‘Yamraj’ ready at the next intersection.
While addressing the function, CM Yogi also expressed his opinion on social issues. He warned the parents that giving smartphones in the hands of small children can be dangerous. Due to this, children can become victims of depression, hence motivate them towards sports and studies. Along with this, he stressed on road safety and said that good roads are not for speeding and traffic violations, but for safe travel. He appealed to keep the mobile on silent and not to use earphones while driving.
CM made the public aware to curb the increasing crimes in the digital era. He said that people often adopt shortcuts to earn more profits in less time and fall into the trap of cyber fraudsters. The only way to avoid fraud is vigilance. CM clarified that only when we get lured, criminals make us their victims, hence stay away from any unknown tempting offers.
Making a sharp attack on the opposition, Yogi Adityanath said that Gorakhpur before 2017 and Gorakhpur today shows a world of difference. He reminded that Ramgarh Tal, which was once a den of criminals, has today become the biggest center of tourism. Earlier, mafia and hooliganism were prevalent in Gorakhpur, goonda tax was collected from traders and there was no trace of electricity. He said that children used to die due to diseases like encephalitis, but his government eliminated this disease in just 2 years.
The Chief Minister said that not only Gorakhpur, but also the picture of Ayodhya, Kashi, Prayagraj and Lucknow has completely changed. People who came to these cities 8-10 years ago will not even recognize them today. Earlier people were afraid to leave their homes after sunset, but today there is a fear-free environment. Uttar Pradesh is no longer a state of migration and anarchy, but has become a state that keeps pace with the progress of the country. Attacking corruption, he said that by using technology in ration distribution, he has rooted out rigging.
