LPG Cylinder: Nowadays, almost every household uses an LPG gas cylinder. But sometimes, the gas runs out within a few days of installing a new cylinder. This raises the question: Was there less gas in the cylinder? If this happens to you, this article can be helpful. Let's find out what you can do if your gas cylinder has less gas and how a little awareness can save you from being cheated.

The most important thing to do when receiving a cylinder
Whenever the delivery person brings a gas cylinder to your home, immediately get the cylinder weighed. The delivery person is required to have a weighing scale. If they refuse to weigh it or say they don't have a scale, inform the gas agency or dealer immediately. Getting the cylinder weighed is your right.

What should be the correct weight of the cylinder?
A domestic gas cylinder contains 14 kg 200 grams of gas. The weight of an empty cylinder varies, usually between 15 kg and 16.5 kg. This weight is written on the top of the cylinder.
For example, if the empty cylinder weighs 16 kg, the total weight of the filled cylinder should be 30 kg 200 grams. If the weight is less than this, understand that there is less gas.

Where can you complain if you receive less gas?
If the weight is less during weighing, you can complain to the Weights and Measures Department. You can also file a complaint with the gas agency and the consumer forum. Filing a complaint is not complicated; you can write your complaint on a plain piece of paper. This will help you and protect you from being cheated.

Remember, blindly accepting a cylinder is not right. Get it weighed, ask questions, and complain if necessary.
