Consumers in India have long been curious about luxury cars and bikes. There are also some auto brands in the market, which are known for their luxury vehicles. One such popular luxury vehicle manufacturing company is BMW.
We find BMW cars in the car collection of many celebrities and businessmen. Recently BMW updated their logo without any big announcement.

BMW has quietly updated their circular logo without making any official announcement. This new logo was first introduced in September 2025 on the iX3 model. Now, the brand will be using the new logo on all its cars from February onwards. These changes are very minor, with small tweaks to colors and textures.
The horizontal and vertical chrome bars separating the blue and white areas in the new BMW logo have now been removed. The rest of the chrome in the updated logo now appears in a smoked (gray) look, further accentuating its modern look. Also, the individual letters in ‘BMW’ are now slimmer, and the black area has been given a satin or matte finish instead of the glossy finish as before.
BMW’s blog quoted the brand’s head of design, Oliver Heilmer, as saying, “We wanted to make the logo more accurate and clear with the heritage Japan. The chrome is still there, but the letters have added a shiny pattern, which is often seen in watches. The white areas are now closer to the outer ring. The logo looks flat, but feels raised to the touch.”

While the new logo is currently available at some European dealerships, it may not fully match current models. BMW has clarified that this new round logo will be placed on the hood, but there is no official word yet on whether it will be used on the trunk/tailgate, wheel center cap or steering wheel.
BMW is also gearing up to change its M Performance logo, an update that will be seen on vehicles from February. While the company has not yet released details on some of the other changes, given the new logo it is likely to be a subtle design update as well. Notably, in 2020 BMW introduced a new logo, which was used in parallel with the logo in use since 1997. Also in 2017, the brand introduced a black-and-white logo for its premium models.
