Significant updates have come from the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) as they have released the results for the PCS Main Examination 2024. A total of 2719 candidates have successfully qualified for the interview phase. The written examination for the PCS Mains took place from June 29 to July 2, 2025, at various centers in Prayagraj and Lucknow, with 13,776 candidates participating.

The recruitment process aims to fill 947 positions across 24 categories within the PCS cadre. Notably, 60 of these positions will be filled based solely on the written exam results, which will be announced alongside the final results. For the remaining 887 vacancies, candidates will be selected based on both their written exam performance and the interview. Further details regarding the interview process will be provided in a separate notification. The announcement was made by Ashok Kumar, the Secretary of the UP Public Service Commission.
