The Uganda national cricket team has become a better T20 team despite their status as a non-traditional cricket powerhouse. Their development has led to three unwanted appearances on this list of undesirable teams. Uganda experienced two major collapses when they faced New Zealand and West Indies during the T20 World Cup 2024.

The 2024 edition, which the West Indies and USA co-hosted, featured Uganda, who suffered a complete defeat to New Zealand during a group match at Tarouba. The team collapsed for just 40 runs in 18.4 overs. The top scorer for the team was Kenneth Waiswa, who scored 11 runs.
Earlier, in the T20 World Cup 2014, Sri Lanka bowled out the Netherlands for 39 in 10.3 overs in Chattogram. The total remains today as the second lowest total in T20 World Cup history, which Uganda also holds.
The tournament record for the lowest total in the tournament belongs to Uganda. West Indies eliminated Uganda from the 2024 T20 World Cup when they dismissed the team for 39 at Providence Stadium. Uganda batted for only 12 overs after they needed 174 runs to win the second inning. Juma Miyagi scored the highest with 13 runs.
