Pawan Singh and Jyoti Singh dispute

Mumbai: Matters to personal life have once again become a topic of discussion in Bhojpuri cinema. The ongoing legal battle between Pawan Singh and his wife Jyoti Singh has taken a new turn. Jyoti has demanded Rs 10 crore for maintenance allowance. Meanwhile, actress Akshara Singh has supported the demand and said that women should get their rights after marriage.

Akshara said in a media interaction that if a woman has invested time and emotions in marriage, then she should get financial security in case of separation. He believes that the size of the amount is not important, but it is important that the woman gets her legal rights. He also said that the society should understand such matters sensitively. Akshara and Pawan Singh had worked together in many films and their pairing was quite popular. But after Pawan’s marriage their paths parted.

Pawan and Jyoti’s divorce

Pawan Singh and Jyoti Singh were married in 2018. After some time, news of tension in their relationship started coming. In 2022, Pawan filed a petition for divorce in Arrah’s family court. Since then, both sides have made many allegations against each other.

Jyoti’s allegations and Pawan’s defense

In October 2025, a video of Jyoti went viral, in which she said that she was not allowed to enter her house in Lucknow. He alleged that a complaint has been registered against him. Pawan Singh denied these allegations and said that he had called for talks and tried to resolve the matter.

Jyoti has also accused Pawan of mental pressure and forcibly giving medicines. On the other hand, Pawan Singh has declared himself innocent, calling all the allegations false. This matter is currently pending in the court and the final decision will be taken by the court only.

Pawan Singh’s personal life has been in the news earlier also. His first wife Neelam Devi died shortly after their marriage. After this he married Jyoti Singh for the second time. Now this relationship is also going through the legal process. After Akshara Singh’s statement, this controversy has again come into limelight. People are expressing different opinions on social media. However, legally the decision will depend on the court order.
