In a new twist in the Ramsay/Peaty family feud, Tana Ramsay has spoken out about a conversation she had with Adam Peaty's mum Caroline in which she heavily praised her son. The admission comes after a bitter fall out between Olympic swimmer Adam and his mum and family amid his wedding to Gordon and Tana Ramsay's daughter Holly.

Speaking to Grazia, Tana, who is set to star in she and celeb chef Gordon's fly-on-the wall reality show Being Gordon Ramsay, said: "I remember saying to Adam’s mum when I met her, ‘My God, you’ve got the most amazing son. I couldn’t think of anyone that is more perfect for Holly, who’s incredibly emotional, incredibly vulnerable in areas.'"

She added to the publication that Holly is "funny, brilliant and witty" but also "needs keeping in line" and that Adam managed to do all those things.

She further explained "he's been through a lot" and "she's been through a lot" and recalls saying to his mum Caroline that "in my mind he's perfect for our daughter." The comments come after Adam's mum did not attend the wedding of Adam and Holly, which took place at Bath Abbey on the 27th December last year.

The fallout was said to have begun when wider members of Adam's family were not invited to their lavish engagement party in 2024, it has been claimed. And Caroline was upset she was supposedly cut out off Holly's hen do at Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds - sparking further tension.

Caroline spoke out on the weekend of the wedding to the Daily Mail, saying: "I don’t think they understand how much they have hurt me; it’s as if they have cut my heart out.

"This is the first Christmas that I’ve not had my family together – my family is broken. Yes, I have my other grandchildren. Yes, I have my other children, but my family is split because of the goings on…because of the wedding."

More recently Gordon has shut down comments that he is a "bully", which The Sun claimed was made by Adam's parents.

“I am certainly not a bully, and it is so appalling to even suggest there was any bullying," he told the publication. “That’s absolute nonsense. It was sad to see that barrage of negativity that was self-propelled by them.

“But Adam is an incredible young lad and he and Holly are a wonderful, happy, young couple.”

Adam has changed his name to Adam Ramsay-Peaty and is not on speaking terms with his family.
