KATSEYE member Manon Bannerman is taking a temporary hiatus from group activities due to health concerns. In a Weverse statement issued by HYBE and Geffen Records on February 20 (IST), it was announced that the 23-year-old singer will prioritize her health and well-being during her break from the group. The statement also conveyed that the remaining members fully back Manon Bannerman’s decision, stated by News 18 article.
According to a Rolling Stone article, after open and thoughtful conversations together, it was shared that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing, the statement read. It was further noted that full support for this decision was expressed by the group, now consisting of Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeung.

It has also been announced that group activities will be continued despite Manon Bannerman’s temporary hiatus. KATSEYE remains committed to supporting one another and the fans who mean everything to them. KATSEYE is a global girl group based in Los Angeles that debuted in 2024. In 2023, the group first gained popularity as trainees on the K-pop reality show Dream Academy. Later, the Netflix show Popstar Academy: Katseye brought them more recognition.
They made their debut in June 2024 with the song Debut, which was followed by their breakthrough hit, Touch. In addition to several singles, the six-piece ensemble has released two EPs, SIS (Soft Is Strong) in 2024 and Beautiful Chaos in 2025.
