Based on the latest findings from Get Licensed, the UK's leading security training provider, there are 10 locations where heightened awareness is advisable. The City Safety Index has placed Manchester as the 10th most dangerous city in the UK. The northern powerhouse city experiences an average crime rate of 152 per 1,000 residents, though this represents a significant improvement on the previous year.

Meanwhile, Leicester ranks as the ninth most dangerous city in Britain, with Newcastle upon Tyne ranking in eighth and Middlesbrough in seventh place. Positioned even higher on the list, securing sixth place as the most dangerous location, is Blackpool.

The historic city of Bristol has recorded a crime rate just below that of the London borough of Westminster.

Nottingham is among the top three most dangerous locations in Britain. The city's (NG1 to NG34 postcodes) annual crime rate sits at approximately 118 per 1,000 residents, placing it among the top three most dangerous areas, reports the Express.

Despite certain areas' appeal within London, Islington has been identified as the "second least safe place in Great Britain".

This particularly applies to the postcodes N1, N4 to N8, N16 and N19, where robberies and theft represent the most frequently reported offences.

In fact, the district's figures for theft and robbery stand at "three times higher than the national average". Criminal activity in that locality has increased by over 8% year-on-year, and reoffending rates remain elevated.

Named as the "most dangerous" city in Britain is the London borough of Camden.

While Camden remains a favourite among residents and visitors, the district has become infamous for cases of harassment, public disturbances, and violent unrest.

Postal codes covering the Camden district - particularly the N1, N6, N7, N19, and NW1 to NW8 - are identified as the most dangerous. And those carrying out offences in Camden are extremely likely to commit further crimes.
